Bill,

   Venus is often seen around sunrise or
sunset and is often called the morning or evening star. It appears very bright
in the sky. Dollars to donuts you are looking at Venus.  About once per
month, the Moon and Venus line up together in the sky.  This will happen
again late on Sept 9 and the wee hours of Sept. 10. <FONT face=Arial
size=2>Usually it's really 'purdy'.  Check it out.

Cheers,
Norman

  Subject: [RT] Off Topic Stargazing

  I am
  looking for some stargazing help from some of our astronomical type
  traders.
  <SPAN
  class=898050913-20082002>
  Is
  there a website that would show the early morning sky for a particular time
  and location?
  <SPAN
  class=898050913-20082002>
  I
  live on the coast in South Carolina and this morning about 6:00 AM EST there
  was a very bright object in the eastern morning sky approximately 45 degrees
  above the horizon.  It appeared to be a very bright star that was maybe 5
  times brighter than a normal star.  In addtion to the normal star color
  there was very red color that was clearly visible to the naked
  eye.
  <SPAN
  class=898050913-20082002>
  At
  first I thought it was an airplane, but it stayed in the same relative
  position all morning until it disappeared just after
  daybreak.
  <SPAN
  class=898050913-20082002>
  Any
  help will be greatly appreciated.
