Hello Jim,
How about cuffing the news people who are the guardians of our everyday
language?
They incorrectly use such expressions as "in spite" when they really mean
despite and
anxious when they really mean eager and affected when they really mean
effected etc. The number of errors I hear on TV news every day is
staggering. If I didn't know better, I would guess that these people are
anti-semantic.
