I thint the data below from stocks monitored by Wall Street Watch is
telling.
Yesterday there were 27.4% of stocks selling above their 200 day
moving average.
Last month that was 52.7%
Yesterady there were 16.4% of stocks selling above their 100 day
moving average.
Last month that was 39.6%
Yesterday there were 12.8 % of stocks selling above their 50 day
moving average.
Last month that was 29.0%
Yesterday there were 16.4% of stocks selling above their 20 day
moving average.
Last month that was 31.4%
Yesterday there were 967 Advancing Issues and 3670 Declining Issues
Last month there were 1932 Advancing Issues and 2647 Declining Issues.
I do not know what figures like that are at a bottom but they sure
are not pretty for just one month of activity.
