There is a lot of bantering about certain things that keep going in
circles:
This may all go back to skill levels, dedication, persistence and
can not...or some may think it is just a fluke. I believe the former.
***agree completely with your observation here, relative to skill levels
and so forth. These traits are relevant to success in any business endeavor;
no surprise there. Where we as trader/investors [having been successful
in other arenas] trip up, I think, is with the need to be proved "right."
That's fatal in an arena [trading/investing] where anything can happen and
each "trial's" [the trade] result is independent of prior ones. In this
context, Mark Douglas suggests the "carefree" mindset -- 'a positive expectation
from one's effort, in any endeavor, together with an acceptance that the
results obtained are a perfect reflection of one's level of development and
of what one needs to learn to do better.' Check out his "Trading In The
Zone," published in 1998. Solid stuff.
