I have to admit total amazement at how deftly Merril managed to
deal with the whole issue of being caught red handed lying to
retail investors. It was here and gone in a week. Then I realized
that the brokerages have been through this cycle many times
before. They are (or work for) today's composite operator and
they have the process of "helping" people to buy high and sell
low down pat. Politicians and media are just tools in this
skilled process. The grinding down you see in the news has
nothing to do with liberals or conservatives, its all a part of
the market bottoming process.
Did you ever stop to think who might be buying all those shares
getting sold these days?
