That is what I mean't about the code needing some
reworking to make it more user friendly.  Here is a tip.  After
placing the A and B characters on the chart and inserting the indicator or
toggling it On Off On watch for a vertical scanning bar on the right side of the
chart.  If the height exceeds the price range, then the spiral may not plot
so then reduce the distance between A and B and toggle the status again watching
for a shorter scanning bar.  Place B at the point you want the spiral to
start and place A at various distances from B to adjust the expansion
characteristics.  Leave B in one place and adjust A until you get a spiral,
then look for the line that connects A and B and then fine tune the positions of
A and B one price bar at a time until that connecting line hits the price bars
you want and the spiral fits the price history.  Once you get it working
you could even place a D at B and a C near A with a shorter or longer distance
so that a spiral channel is formed.  You might try intraday data such as 5
or 10 minute and place B in the left third of the screen.  Daily data did
not seem to work well.  Sometimes an elliptical spiral will be formed
rather than a "circular" spiral.  The code is a start for someone with the
skills to make a unique tool.  Its beyond my coding ability, although I
might try some modifications in the future.  I did not know TS could plot
like that, but by using short segment trendlines it is possible.

  Bob,

I fooled around with the code and place the A & B
points close together but could not get anything to print other than the
message you mentioned about not enough data.

Any suggestions to get this thing to go?

  Thanks,
  Brian Oliver

This code is very tricky to use.  On high
priced issues like the DOW, change the compression factor to "1" instead of
"10" for starters.  The placement of the "A" and "B" points are
critical.  Try placing them close together and then work
outwards.  I discovered that multiple spirals can be charted by
changing the Inputs to "C" and "D", etc.  Also a message always appears
that there isn't enough data during the initial scan but it might still
plot.  You might also change the color input to something brighter if
your screen has a black background.  Also start with the Spirals input
=2 and then increase it once you get it working.

      Bob,

      I just tried <A
      href="http://www.traders2traders.com";>www.traders2traders.com and it
      did not work.

I wanted to look up the code from Gregory Wood for the
spiral tool.  I saw your post and it looks interesting.

Do you have the code?  Can you share it with
      me?

      Thanks,

The spiral tool is available at <A
        href="http://www.traders2traders.com.";>http://www.traders2traders.com.
Code is byGregory Wood.  Anyone know of any TS2000i spiral code
that will draw in thebars to right area?  This one stops on the
lastcalcdate and lastcalctime.ps no direction or price level
implied.  It would also be handy if thisspiral code were
modified to accept different letters so multiple spiralscould be
placed on the same chart like the
        pitchforks.bobrTo unsubscribe from this
