Hi all,

I'm back from a long hiatus from the list. For those that don't
know me, I am a trader and President of WDMC, a firm dedicated to
market analytics. I've also authored a couple of books on trading.

For the last three years I've conducted market research utilyzing
martial theory (Sun Tzu,Clausewitz,Jomini,Machiavelli,Musashi) and
works including but not limited to Gann, Elliot, Dunnigan, Schabacker,
Wyckoff, Crabel, Connors, Raschke, Mandelbrot, B. Williams, Taylor,
Rhea, Momet, Arnold, Nison, Mendelshon, Wilder, Nathenburg and
Caplan. On the mathematical side, I've also spent time studying
chaos theory, number theory and symbolic logic. In general, all
of these ideas and methodologies are combined and assimilated to
form basic truths about the market.

So, after all that research, I'll now be presenting some ideas to
the list. They should be refreshing, since they deal primarily
with new concepts and approaches to the market, or observations
about market fallacies (as I see them :) ) .

So, keep an eye out for future posts and keep an open mind.
Don't get annoyed if I point out problems with your favorite
methodology. *My* idea of a system that works is one that
should win better than 90% of the time (for directional
strategies) so my standards are very high.

I look forward to your comments and ideas.

Regards,
Walt Downs
