Hear, hear Clyde. We all have to take our OWN
responsibility for what happens to our lives. Anyone not running updated virus
software, not running a firewall and has their browser and mail programs set to
less than highest security is responsible for their own infections. There are
enough free sites out there which do online scans or from which you can download
software to check your system regularly. I run AVG (free), Zonealarm(free),
ad-aware for spyware detection (free) and a cookie crusher program. Really
sensitive files are not kept on a machine connected to the net. Files which are
sensitive but which need to be kept on a computer connected to the net are
encrypted.
