I very strongly agree with you.
Fibonacci, Elliott, Crane, Gann and many others 
used mathematics very heavily in their trading methodologies.
I believe that a strong background in 
mathematics and the application of mathematic principles has everything to do 
with trading.
I certainly would not want to have to trade the 
markets without a firm grasp of every mathematical principle I could 
find.
I apply basic mathematics, statistics, 
geometry, algebra and even a little calculus to my price charts every 
day.
It is ludicrous to even think that one could trade 
without mathematics.
