Actually for day trading I use the  Macd histogram
I trade the 13 min  bares   with  13 21 and  34 in the settings
but has a lower window  set up with   5 min  bares   and a   histogram of
3 5  and 8
the shorter time is to watch for early exit or  entry
but the trade is MOSTLY concentrated on the 13 min  bar
