it would help if you described the time frames that you are trading:
minutes, hours, days, weeks, etc. intraday trading (which is what i
do), for instance, isn't "harder" than usual. going flat by the end
of each sesssion means i don't worry about whether an overnight
position is going to get royally mugged the next open. i imagine that
those accustomed to taking directional positions to hold over a few
weeks have had some unpleasant experiences the last few months. i
don't trade volatility per se, but i imagine volatility players have
been having fun getting their positions set up lately.
as for "normal" markets, what the heck is that?
