Re: [RT] List description: interrogatories

I respect your views Kent. It is important for me to hear everyone's
thoughts. I said I would not try to press my personal agenda on the list
and I meant that. None the less, unless I see clear evidence to the
contrary, I will continue to believe that courtesy is not a happenstance
trait but rather a required commodity for any group of people our size. I
also will need to see a clear majority who wish to have Mark Brown back on
this list and I do not believe there is even a remote possibility of that
happening. Whatever else we may or may not agree on, I would hope you
agree that a group such as ours should make decisions based on the
democratic concept of majority rules.

As to people selling things on the list, I addressed that in my post with
suggestions for changes to our list description but you left my suggestions
for that part of the new description off your post. There are some
commercial enterprise interests on our list but as long as they don't troll
the list for customers, I don't have a problem with that. I know of three
business owners on here and they all contribute to the list. Business
owners are people too and many if not all, on this list, are traders.

Your point about people making unnecessary short replies to the list is
well taken but as you, yourself, pointed out, we have many newer members of
the trading/investing world who are likely new to computers and mail lists
as well. The bandwidth for a txt email is nearly nonexistent and removing
people for over-exuberance is unlikely to happen.

Again, I thank you for your input and hope you will continue to express
your views which will always be given respective attention.

All best,

Bob
