good points.
ric ingram falls in a category of self-helpers I've seen many times.
Their modus operandi is to chastise/criticize their "clients",
lecture to them on what it means to be a whole person (like them of course).
Problems are--
good therapists know you can seldom help people by forceful
interpersnal tactics.
they are long on diagnosis and very short on development/treatment.
Finally they rely on a tactic I associate with Freudian
therapists--If you reject what they say, that proves you're screwed
up. Talk about catch 22!
