[RT] Signature Files vs Files That Contain Offers and Asset Allocation

To tell you the truth that is the first one I have seen on this list
that had so many software products featured and priced....and I
really do not care but when Boggio was the moderater this was a no
no. If it is no longer a no no then Pandora's box will open.

To keep in the trading vein, and reintroduce myself to the newbies, I
have a diversified portfolio of Mutual funds,Rydex Funds, Profunds,
Mechanically trade the S&P with my own system, trade individual
stocks, and dabble with penny stocks which are in the early stages of
comming back if you have been watching the signs and symptoms on
Raging Bull website.I was both loved, liked or hated by some different
people on this list at various times.

I put most of my IRA in Master Suite in 1997 and made $150,000.I
combined it with Dual Thrust when I saw Master Suite dying and made
another $150,000 in 1998. I gave a lot back in 1999 and 2000
overtesting systems presented to me and trying some money managers.
But I still am much better for the experience because I was able to
practice medicine full time and do this..I got it all back and more
in 2001 and 2002 has started with a bang for me.I now trade full time
and have more systems than you can imagine.I made money with most of
them but they all have a life cycle of their own and you need to know
when to use them.

There was a test done in the recent past in which one of the members
of the list asked traders to trade under a controlled study. I made
$8000 in the control study which I think lasted a week.He promised to
post the results but I never saw it so I do not know my standing in
that study.

I believe in Asset Allocation:

Right now my Allocation is :

1. 10% commodities [mostly grains]

2. 50% Mutual funds/Rydex and Profunds [1/3:1/3:1/3]What is neat
about all of these is there are no commissions. And the leverage with
the Rydex and Profunds is awesome [a 70 point Nasdaq run gave me 10%
in just the Ultra OTC on Fri.]

3. 25% cash

4. 10% S&P day trading mechanically

5. 5% stock picks

If you are just trading commodities or indexes, you better be really
good.If you are diversified other parts of the basket can pull you
out.

I have nothing to sell ...for now but am considering it for next year
after my move to Charleston SC...but not on this list if it is not
appropriate.

More later,
Dinner and more packing for my move.

My best to all,

John

Hello John,

JC> To me there is a big difference between a Signature file and one
JC> containing offers no matter how big of a contribitor one is.

What are you talking about? That you clicked his web site link and was
shocked to see something for sale? If that is the case wow, how many
list have you been on?

I am certainly not speaking for the moderator of this list, because it
certainly has been baffling to me what has been tolerated compared to
what has not been tolerated. Seems indeed their are some golden boys
here who are allowed to do anything they wish. But anyone of greater
than primitive ideas is quickly reported and acted upon. Weird4Sure.
