Ira,

Today "neural nets" are the lowest form of adaptive
trading.

What we learned from them and how unadaptive and
unanticipatory they were
has been the basis of a whole new generation of
adaptive methods.

I fully agree that neural nets are very limited in
their application to trading.

I don't think that there is any neural net that can out perform
a real trader. Of course the quality of the trader has to be good.

Anyone? Who was it that programed the computer?
Certainly not another computer.  So the computer has a
greater degree of error probability when the answer to a
problem  is partially visual and partially mechanical as
trading is.  Also, who is it that sets the parameters
for the computer to act?  Another computer?  I
      don't think so. Ira.
