I turned in my dual 1024x768 monitor desktop for a Dell 7500 laptop with
15.1" 1200x1000+- screen. It took Dell 6 months to get beyond the 7500
manufacturing defects ... all due to missing and improper internal
fasteners. Once I wrote to my state AG, Dell replaced the 7500 with a 8000
with 15.1" 1600x1200 screen and I love it ... even with my aging eyes. I
reformatted the 10g disk, installed W2000 Pro, and upgraded memory to 196
meg ... am getting ready to boost memory to 384+-. 700mhz processor is more
than adequate. In fact, I have a QCharts backup installed on my wife's
Thinkpad 770 PII 266mhz with 14" 1024x768 screen and it runs just fine
although I can't fit the workspaces from the Dell on the screen.
