Actually the range you mentioned goes back to
early November.  Whether we return to more tradable conditions (more
volatility/larger daily ranges) anytime soon is something I'm
certainly hoping for but not expecting.  I think we are only in
the beginning stages of unwinding all of the "excesses" of the historic bubble
and it could remain like this for a very long time.

In terms of the next move, with VIX closing
today under 22 along with the recent price action, the odds of any meaningful up
move in the near future do not appear all that good.  But this is
just idle speculation/opinion done for fun.  The price
action dictates trading decisions.

  we
have been in a expanded flat correction since 12/5. Corrections are the
toughest time to trade. We will be returning to a more tradeable uptrend in
  the next 3-7 trading days.

[RT] Is this a difficult market......????
I essentially trade alone from my my house and
because of that, tend to be somewhat isolated at times. I was just wondering
....have the last two months been exceptionally difficult to trade? I have
been using a system that works very well on stocks. It has consitently
generated returns of 8% or better per month. In january, however, this
number dropped to about 5%. I guess it is the nature of system trading...but
i just want to know how others are doing......or is it possible that my
system is beginning to decay? I have heard they do that. I have ot watching
7 fairly big stocks...aol, ge, flex, psft, intc, nok, qqq and
    amgn.

    Any advice...consolation or whatever would
help. My primary concern is this a very errratic difficult market that will
settle down....or is my system that has workked so well beginng to
    slip.....

    Thanks
