Ralph,

FYI: Netscape is affiliated with America OnLne
(AOL)
Therein lies 100% of the problems people experience
with either product.
I had problems with Netscape both before and after
AOL bought them out and have always had problems with the AOL software not
behaving well with my trading applications (charting and analysis
software).
I strongly encourage everyone not to have anything
to do with either of these products.

  Subject: [RT] Netscape Works Again
Some time ago I asked for help because my Netscape was
crashing anytimeI clicked on an email with an attachment to open it. Well,
after about aweek of reading everything on the Netscape support pages and
tweakingeverything I could think of, I finally got it working again.
I'mconveying this information for us all to learn. What happened in
my case is that i installed a graphic viewer calledIfran Viewer that
associates itself with many different file extensions,of which gif's and
jpeg's are just but two. During the installation Igave the viewer
permission to own those file extensions. So, when Istarted receiving gif
and jpeg attachments both my Netscape and Ifranprograms fought over the
right to open the graphic files and my systemwould crash. To fix this, I
deleted the program and reinstalled itwithout such authorithy and Netscape
is now running fine again. Whew!!!RalphTo
