I have another preference when it comes to tick
date:

You will find this guy outstanding insofar as
customer service is concerned.

Hope some of you try it out for historical AND
CURRENT (if not realtime) data.

  contracts
Yes I still use them.  I bought some historical data
from them about a year ago.  I bought just a couple years to try it out
(about $100).  I didn't know them too well, they were cheaper
than TickData and they said they could build continuous OMZ contracts.
After that first file I think I spent about $600 (they credited me back my
initial purchase which I thought was really cool) and got a whole bunch of
data (SP back to 1982, Bonds to 1977, and like a year each for the Nasdaq, and
both the e-minis and BP or something like that.).I had to request the
continuous contract in OMZ format.Actually, they have a pretty cool
setup for downloading.  I use 2000i with eSignal and each night I
download my daily data and tick data from Genesis and they create a paste file
for the day's ticks that I can clean up my eSignal data with.  It works
pretty slick.  I've been really happy with them.  There have been
many many times that little bonus has saved my butt.  When I lost my
cable modem feed for an hour and a half one day, I just pasted the data and it
filled the gap.I hope this helps you.  Like I said, I've had
pretty good luck with their stuff.StephanTo
