The 
Hilbert Transform calculates the instantaneous phase and amplitude of the 
dominant cycle.   The frequency, the period and the power spectrum can 
be derived from the result as well.  That's the simple

the Adaptive Stochastic indicator the instantaneous period is recalculated on 
each bar and used as the indicator length.
