You are of course correct about how common this is and what is the
price being paid?
Why do some traders need to share their predictions?
Sometimes to have their ego massaged.
And why do others want to read others predictions?
Sometimes so they can be part of a crowd that loses - it is not so
bad when others are losing too - or to blame someone else when they took
the 'tip'. It also saves having to follow a system
perhaps.
This does not sound a very productive activity to me.
