Your target is just below the low of 9/20. I don't trade them and seldom
look at them. Maybe I should. To me they are just another numeric series.
The recent posts about them topping got my curiosity up, and indeed, the
signature appears to be there. Market Profile / Activity Bars are probably
used with T bonds moresoe than with anything else since the CBOT
owns/licenses the software. A real MP chart would show the volume activity
of the different participants. Still, the TS Activity Bars seem to do a
decent job without differentiating the source of the volume in both T bonds
and snp. Unless I am mistaken, and I could very well be, it appears that T
bonds have some distinct trend and consolidation characteristics. What is
mean't by that is, when they consolidate they have a normally distributed
profile in a narrow price range. When they trend, they do so steadily
making a 1/3 retrace intraday whether it is up or down. Most of the time it
appears that once they cross the dynamic midpoint which is usually soon
after the open, they go into a trend within the upper or lower 1/3 channel
being created that day. Thus bonds appear to be good candidates for system
trading. Again, I could be totally all wet with these notions, but I don't
think so. Clyde Lee did some system coding on this which is some of the
most profitable coding he has done.
