Anti-virus software offers less protection than prudent use of a computer
... there are virus' which are unknown to the anti-virus software developers
(as indicated in your previous post to the list) and the protection level
there is zero, nada, none. Those who must process file attachments which can
harbor virus' should have anti-virus software, those who don't, don't
exchange files, and exercise care in the internet sites they visit don't
need it. Aside from the reason mentioned above, there are other reasons not
to run anti-virus software including overhead and interference with
installation and upgrade programs. I've been using and writing software for
PC's since the first 086 processors hit the streets. I've used NAV in the
past and trashed it, have current version because it came with my
SystemWorks Pro ... didn't install it.
