Each firm has their own guidelines ...
Most will want cash today for calls that were triggered on Sept 17th or at
least securities sold today to meet the call which of course won't settle until
3 traders later. It goes without saying that more calls will be triggered
today so we will continue to see more liquidating to meet these
calls next week..

Back to the Markets...
At one time a long,long time ago the effect of margin call selling was
seen in the markets at 11:00 am est and 2:00 pm est. Does anyone have
any idea whether there is any uniformity with regard to the timing of margin
