Your reasoning is a bit simplistic. Egypt 
receives the second largest amount of U.S. foreign aid in the Middle East. Is 
that because of the influence of the American-Egyptian community? Oh, come on. 

 
Isn't it just possible that Israel is a 
natural ally of the U.S. because of its shared democratic values?
