Read reviews about this book at amazon.com website. The techniques he is describing are beaten to death. Most of the times you will hold the dead wood in the end, a stock which no one wants to buy, even at 50 cents lower ! Specialists know about this technique and they use it to their advantage :-)
Also, since decimal trading, the spreads are even smaller.
