The way I read your picture:
1. You should have been short shortly
after the open per the Adaptive.
2. If you took the buy later in the
day you should have had a very close
stop and that trade
would have broken even or lost you a bit.
3. Why are you looking at the
"conventional" stochastic???
Please don't ask for trading advice as I am
not a CTA.
My system (mechanical one that is)
lost $900 today so if your loss was
less than that then feel good.

Subject: Re: [RT] MY Realtime + Adaptive
Stochastic FUNCTION
Clyde,
I'd like a bit of help - please. Herewith a gif
of recent price activity. I bought in approximately where the arrow is. The
trade then went sideways and dropped off a little before the close only to
rebound and come back to the 2185 level - broadly where I got in. Whilst I
would have done marginally better with the adaptive stochastic, I'd still have
found the trade going away from me. Buy side volume appeared to be in advance
of sell form ealy on. Grateful for any idea of what I'm missing so I can
either avoid the trade or know I should hang on.

PS yr. LOS is working well.

Subject: [RT] MY Realtime + Adaptive
Stochastic FUNCTION
If you don't care about what my
realtime looks like, then
The bottom indicator is a CUSTOM 3
LINES indicator which uses the
Adaptive_Stochastic function
output as the first input and then
the 30 and 70 reference
lines.
This function can provide you with some
powerful input to a system
or to your own indicator.
As you will note below John
Hall started this mess and BobR (as usual)
conned me into dressing this up a
bit.
Please, this function could be really
important to you and thank John and Bob
for their insistence.
If you prefer Larry Williams concept of
this same Idea then you can have it!!!!
