I think the lesson to learn here is: Test everything yourself!!!
I too have seen very logical sounding statistics and systems presented by
known, well-endorsed, successful traders *fail completely* under rigorous
historical testing.
Based on my experience, personally, I wouldn't trade a system or trust a
statistic given to me by God without testing it first myself. If I can't
test it, I don't use it.
