NW: Your last example sounds illegal to me. Do they allow that at the CME?
My experience on the
CBOE floor and the CBOT floor was that you can't trade through a valid bid
or offer until all at that price are filled.

ahah yeah how it is "supposed" to be, but in the SP and now the NAZ, there
are different prices going on all over the pit. It has happened in the SP
since '83. The pit is just too big. The guys on pit committe are usually the
ones closest to the brokers anyways and get all the fluff they want. Remember
Jack Sander?? They used to call him "Back Step Jack" for almost the same
reason. He would come to the pit near the close and the brokers would have
his "trades" lined up for him. Haahhh CBOT and CBOE are hugely different
worlds compared to the SP and Naz, it is just night and day. So far the SP's
have been able to avoid the degree of cameras that are in the naz and euros.
The mini helps to level things, but in the past few months there have been
some "funny" stuff going on there also.....where there is a will there is a
way....
