I have some even better ideas for some controlled experiments:

We could test and see if any investor suddenly gets the urge to grab the
phone and sell his stocks after getting a "full set of x-rays".

We could study the trading habits of x-ray technicians, transmission line
workers, workers at power plants, radio towers, etc., who are subject to all
kinds of electromagnetic radiation much more potent than a passing flare
everyday, we can find out how many of them are notorious short sellers.

We can start a study to see if there is any correlation between the recent
volatility of the stock market and the advent and popularity of wireless
phone use; can you imagine how many orders of magnitude the intensity of the
radiation blasting your brain from your cell-phone is compared to the
radiation from the sun?

In the mean time, I'm taking it safe; I'm wearing my metal helmet in front
of my computer monitor, I don't wanna trade stupid :-)

Experimentally,

Levent
