Please find below the text of a message to this group last month.
Note that I mentioned I would be suggesting a copy of the attached
letter also be sent to the new incoming U.S. Attorney General; once
he assumed his new duties. That time has arrived and I now propose
that you send a copy of the attached letter to:
Attorney General Of The United States Department Of Justice
Room - 4400
950 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW
Washington, DC 20530-0001
Dear Mr. Attorney General:
=====================
As you are aware, the F.B.I. is an agency within our DOJ. This will
serve to again reinforce the idea that we want the proper attention
and emphasis brought to our case.
I strongly encourage you to write. Apart from seeing that everyone
involved is brought to justice; I want to point out an even more
important reason to write. Most of us feel that the State of Illinois:
at minimum--has been grossly negligent in this matter and it is they who
whould be held accountable and responsible for making us financially whole.
In the first instance this may be our only chance to
recover our money. Secondly, while the basis for a class action suit
against the State of Illinois is currently under review; it isn't yet clear
whether gross negligence is enough. It may be necessary to prove fraud and
collusion with politicians or state officials. Providing Agent Teeling with
full resources to vigorously persue this matter might prove
instrumental in helpling our discovery issues relative to the case against
the SOI.
Thank you for your time and attention.
Charles
