I don't either. I have also found that it can cause major stability
problems and have disabled it. I save attachments that I deem
important, and DO run AV software on them before I open them. Also, I
use nothing but a VIEWER to look at gifs, etc. I would NEVER use IE or
any other 'active' program to view them.

Also, set OE to send TEXT ONLY - no KAK or HTML virus that way.

An excellent idea. :-) I run TheBat, and virii are MUCH less of a
worry (I could always do something stupid like double click an
attachment even when warned not to). :-)

I would strongly support this!

Absolutely true!

If I get code like this it does NOT get run. The only way people will
wake up to this is to have a major wipeout on this list. Then,
possibly, people will start to pay some attention.
In general, if I can't 'look inside' something, it doesn't get run.
Another test is to ask several others, who act as 'Guinea pigs', if
they have had problems. The major difficulty with this is finding
people with enough knowledge to know they have a delayed-payload
infection, and who would still run it in the first place. :-)
