Typically, the Hybris virus modifies your WSOCK32.DLL file, which is used for
internet communications. In doing so, it can monitor your outgoing and incoming
e-mail, as well as block your access to certain anti-virus organizations. A good
explanation can be found at

Most likely, you'll need to replace this file as explained at
http://www.antivirus.com/vinfo/virusencyclo/default5.asp?VName=TROJ_HYBRIS.C
