I never saw CSI as really selling UA as anythig but a vehicle for their
data. That is the value in their product. It takes me about two-three
minutes every day to download every item they carry - every stock (US and
UK) and every futures contract, plus then the time the program takes to
recompute all their special contracts. CSI is by far the most reliable
source for data. If that is whay Guyeshu is looking for, he should look no
further. There is nobody else with data that reliable (except possibly for
Bloomberg which does not have an end of day service as far as I know). The
only company I ever saw anybody on the street stick with was CSI because it
was the only data you could trust.

CSI is perpetually trying to make their little data feed software into
a tradestation. every time they upgrade the software you loose all
your portfolios and their settings. if you collect alot of data then
it can take you days to re establish all of your download groups and
settings ect. besides the constant fooling with the program - the data
and its download/update can take hours to perform each night if you
collect everything like i do. it is really absolutely ludicrous how
slow CSI's software is to build and update continuos data files. Other
than slow software and their constant piddling with the software they
have REALLY GOOD DATA.
however because of the slowness and the fact that my time is worth
something. i have began looking myself for a data vendor who is as
fast as telescan and dial data but as clean as CSI.
