If it 
shows up as an attachment and was not opened, you should be okay. Since I did 
not get the virus from you, it looks as if you are not 
infected.

  Question about this Love Letter Virus.  If I 
  didn't click on it, is my computer infected.  My Outlook Express normally 
  opens .gif and .jpg files automatically below the text message.  I don't 
  know what it would do with a file with a .pif extention.

    I agree with this approach -- they should be blocked -- 
    at least for 2 or 3months. I have gone into the tools section of outlook 
    express and haveblocked all messages from <A

    also from its ownerAshok Garg. I suggest you may also want to take
