If you watch the ACE bonds (ZB00Z on QCharts) you will see that it is
dominated by institutional rather than small trader trades. Direct
electronic access to ACE/Globex/Nymex electronic sessions has been
generally unavailable. LeoWeb, which I use, requires phone call to
Globex and ACE desks (and imposes a surcharge) for all contracts except
the emini. Interactive Brokers TradersWorkstation upgrade due out Dec 1
has announced support for direct connect ACE in addition to the current
direct connect Globex. There are probably others.
