Now that DTN has the higher bandwidth satellite in operation and is shipping
the new receivers and decimalization is under control, the excuses for not
transmitting unique symbols for the components of the issue and volume
breadth symbols for the major indices is just not there. Their goal is to
have options users moved to the new satellite by January 1st. So, any DTN
current and prospective user should send them an email or make a phonecall
requesting that they make a new years 2001 resolution to live up to the
promises of sending the up, down, unchanged, total components with their
own unique symbol. At a minimum it should be done for the NYA and Nasdaq
indices.
