Joe & All,
I found Way of the Warrior Trader an excellent book and a must read for any
new or old traders. Most newbies and academics beleive that the indicators
you use and the parameters you set on your computer will determine your
success in the markets. McCall doesn't mention anything about systems or
methodology. We are our own worst enemy. I beleive the focus of the book
was the need to develop awareness of yourself and the market, without which,
success in the markets is impossible.
We all have metaphors about trading and the markets. No one's metaphor more
right or wrong IF it produces success. The metaphor we beleive and practice
will play a major role in our success or failure. McCall's metaphor happens
to involve direct combatants. An easy metaphor for me to understand in the
zero-sum game of futures trading.
Well, the markets opening soon. Good Trading everyone.
