LOWRISK.COM INVESTOR SENTIMENT REPORT 06 / 27 / 2000
Below are the results of our weekly "Guess the Dow" sentiment
survey. The survey was taken from 6/19 through 6/25 on the
Lowrisk.com web site.
Number of participants: 445
30 day outlook:
37% bullish, 46% previous week
37% bearish, 36% previous week
26% neutral, 18% previous week
The median guess for the Dow closing value on Friday, 6/30: 10,540
(it was 10,813 last week).
We recently had a question about redistributing and forwarding this
report. Please feel free to redistribute or forward this report, but
please do so in its entirety.
Our sentiment data grew less bullish last week, as all the major
stock market averages headed lower. Our count of bulls fell from 46%
to 37%, while the bears stayed almost unchanged...picking up 1% to
end at 37%. Meanwhile, a lot of people moved into the neutral camp,
as it jumped from 18% to 26%.
Given the weakness in the market last week, the drop in bulls is not
surprising. The relatively large "neutral" number is telling us that
volatility should pick up soon.
