What I like most about stocks is Level 2 and because it takes seconds to
place and order and less than that to cancel the order and the confirmation
on level 2 is instant once your price is met. On the other hands to have
great execution you need to call the pit whether it is SF or SP, first of
all not a traders are permitted to call the "Floor" or have floor
privileges. I found placing orders where a task waiting for the phone to
ring during busy times and even more of a hassle to cancel and replace
especially if you are trying to place a trailing stop, clerks just are not
happy to do this.
I find stocks using Level 2 has way more advantages than calling the pit:
I believe Level 2 fills are faster and instant with confirmation and
canceling order are a ease and you can visually see size and "Who" is on the
bid and also there is more news and I think there is always an active stock.
I like the leverage in the futures much more, I also found that when one
currencies is slow all of them tended to slow down, grain fills could also
take along time reporting back what does that leave for liquid futures SanP
and Bonds.
In a nutshell I find using a Level 2 to place orders and confirmation ideal.
I think that you also can action to daytrade the stocks - where daytrading
blends itself to SanP and bonds and currencies (?).
