[RT] OPTION: leaps buy candidates

Hi All:

IF, and only if, you're still bullish, long-term basis, on the market,
here's an (attached) excel file on 55 stocks that have leaps traded.

Most of these stocks belong to the computer, internet (just a few only),
telecomm, biomed and pharmaceutical industries. Most are familiar names
(INTC, AMGN etc), though some are not quite familiar to me, esp in the
internet and biomed areas.

Some of these are trading near their highs (momentum stocks), while some
are trading at their 52-week/26-week lows, possibly bottomfishing
candidates in the future.

Even though I'm a very poor reader of charts, I try to spot those having
some semblance to these patterns:
	-	at or near new highs
	-	cup-and-handle formations
	-	sharply down and maybe (in the future) near some bottoming out development

(You may disagree with me in many instances if you're a better reader of
charts and chart patterns.)

Depending on how bullish you are, whether you're a short-term player or a
long-term player, or even a
"buy-and-hold"-er for the next 2-3 years, you may want to buy some leaps on
some of these stocks. You may want to buy the Jan2002 leaps, or if you're
more cautious, the Jan2003 leaps.

You may want to stick to one area, e.g., internet, or biomed, or software,
or you may want to diversify.

Whatever you want to do, or not do, is entirely up to you.

Do your own fundamental and technical research, blah blah blah...

Remember, try NOT to buy the leaps all at once. Be prepared to make
mistakes, and be prepared to average down.

IF the stock market has another one or two years to be bullish (who
knows?!?), you may stand to gain a lot investing in some of these leaps.
Of course, if the stock market becomes bearish long-term basis, you will
lose everything.

So, do whatever you want to do.

And good luck!

Regards,

Wong
