Just read the post re. CyberCorp. I do agree that they have good software,
HOWEVER,
they are set up so that the conditional/limit orders are held on your computer
until activated. This means that if your phone/internet connection times
out unknown to you, your order will not be transmitted or processed. Additionally
if you should have an urgent problem you may be kept waiting a while by
the time you get through to a tel. operator...........

Some Real Tick providers do clear through Spear, Leads and Kellogs but
I think that the clearing houses are much of a muchness and the co-operation
of the middleman is what ultimately counts in resolving discrepencies.

Lastly if you are trading for a living and not a brilliant, experienced
technical analyst, I think you do need the benefit of a direct access brokerage.
I do not scalp or use the Level 11 in and of itself, but having instant
confirmations and fills definitely have made the difference between profits
and loss.

I had an account with MB Trading for a while. Level 2 trading is great if
you're scalping in and out all day. Fills are instantaneous if you hit a
bid or ask. MB Trading front office was very good. Always helpful they
seem to be proactively trying to improve their level of service. Their back
office however is Southwest Securities and the accouting statements are
horrific. I got a statement one month that showed a $0 balance on my
account that was at the time around $20K. I think most of the folks who use
RealTick are backed by Southwest. And the RealTick software itself is
really great. Extremely customizable and solid.

I would look into CyberCorp if I were looking for a Level 2 trader today.
CyberCorp is being acquired by Schwab where I have my primary stock trading
account.
