Both my NYSE and NASDAQ models are on a buy, however the daily NYSE
breadth models are showing some divergences which give me caution.
NASDAQ breadth models look better, however my price work indicates that
the bottom is not yet in. As indicated previously, I remain very
cautious regarding equities due to the interest rate picture. My work
indicates rates are due to turn back up and as Ira points out, inflation
is not going away tomorrow. Also, I trade currencies and I believe we
are getting close to a major top in US$. Overall, I believe a time for
the nimble traders only. Some weeks ago I posted results of a turning
point study I ran on a dozen of the major equity indexes and the week of
June 12 has exceptionally high confluence ... am also seeing this
showing up in other commodities I track. The good news is that the fed
funds futures spreads which I track are now forecasting "only" another
1/2% increase in rates.
