<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>There is undoubtedly a great deal less traffic
going through the RT server, but nonetheless it is still the best forum as far
as I am concerned. I monitor a few others, but never contribute
mainly because the main participants are, shall we say, rather less than
civilized people. They tend to banter rather like the Bandar-Log of
Kipling's Jungle Book - make a great deal of noise with very little value.
Just occasionally someone drops a little gem or mentions some technical point
which would help me (since I am so useless at computers!)</FONT></DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>RT, on the other hand, tends to have both newbie
traders who really want to learn something and will be both polite and
interested in the way the ask questions or seek advice, and also more
experienced traders who are prepared to try and help. Some, like myself,
have written something or have a service or whatever, but they all are designed
to help and - strictly within the rules of RT - are only mentioned, indirectly,
as a by-line to the signature.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>The stock market is obviously under pressure these
days and, no doubt, many traders are having to devote much more time to their
trading and making money than they used to, when it was just a raging bull
market. Futures day traders, like me on the bonds, don't actually
care whether the market is going up or coming down, so long as it continues to
move and leave a decent trail in its wake to show where it is going. It is
just a great instrument to trade because it is pretty readable most of the
time. As a result, I have time to write and trade and write about
trading. I have time to contribute. Not everyone
does.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>I actually contribute rather less than most of
the 'regulars' because I only trade one thing and I am conscious that that can
be boring for the more gregarious types on the list. I am afraid I am not
of the school that likes trading for trading sake, I only do it to make money
and the day I can't is the day I stop. But I am more than happy to
talk about what I do, in general terms, if it will help others (I have to add
provided it doesn't hurt me and since I don't sell a system, I cannot see how it
could!). </FONT></DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>However, those that give good reasons for how they
arrive at their predictions are both brave and interesting, and if others can
see how they arrived at whatever it is, they can learn and that's
good.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Finally, I would like to congratulate our
Moderator, John Boggio, for what he does (even if he did kick me off for a month
for having a go at someone banging on about indicators and the fax service he
wanted to punt on the RT list) because it is quite clear that it is his
authority and consistency which makes RT what it is. The riff-raff come
and the riff-raff go - all of them!</FONT></DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>But we are getting a bit light, so perhaps we need
some more light shed... here's hoping</FONT></DIV>

I traded the emini through the Futures Trading Group or now known as
Rosenthal Collins (RCG). I believe the system is the same one that PFG
uses. The fills that I got was great, about two second fills, the only time
that it was other than that was when the system went down and the orders
would have to be entered manually. But I still think it is the best thing
that is out there for the private individual trading from home.
