I just started trying "Mytrack" at http://www.mytrack.com
for data feed. Once you download their software and register you can get
free live stock quotes, free delayed futures (10 min. Chicago, 30 minutes
NY, and live S&P500 E-mini) You can then overlay this with several
programs for analysis.</FONT></FONT></FONT>
<BR><FONT FACE="Times New Roman"><FONT COLOR="#000000"><FONT SIZE=+0>I
am currently trying a chart sevice which interfaces with Mytrack. Go to
http://sierrachart.com. You can get
a free month trial and then its $10 per month. It generates intra-day down
to one minute charts and archives them for five days. You can also generate
daily charts. All charts can be customized and there are a plethora of
market studies available all included. I am sure there is a lot more, but
I have only had it for a few days and I am still learning. If this works
out for me, I may cancel my Signal delayed service for which I am paying
$80 per month. </FONT></FONT></FONT></SPAN><SPAN style='color:black;mso-color-alt:windowtext'><o:p></o:p></SPAN>

Status:
I had an off list remark on the fact that most tech stocks will never
see their highs again. Here is what I replied:
Markets repeat themselves over and over again, yet always in a slightly
different way so that yet again people jump back into the same traps.
There sure is a larger number of story stocks that will remain just
that, stories of times past. But then again, there are also a lot of
other companies that live in the real world and do real business
following real business models implemented by real and talented
managers. Those will grow one way or the other, their stock price
following one way or the other, more or less in sync.
Concerning exuberance, I guess it is just human nature to get
periodically excited and then depressed, before getting excited again
after a while, so there is no shadow of a doubt in my mind we will see
another exuberant period. I don't know when nor how or where, it might
be in a several years or in just six months, maybe in the same stocks,
or most likely in a different sector or variety, but we will as sure as
sun follows rain. Again valuations will not count anymore, again only
the fantasy will reign, and things will be diffrent from before, the
laws of history will be suspended, just before once again an onslaught
of smart business minds use the craze to suck in all the eager
liquidity... Just look at how many stories like the net stocks one we
have had since the 1900s: Countless ones, all following the same
patterns, but in ever different subtle ways!
Enjoy the process...
