Subject: PUT / CALL Ratios Firming,....Constructive??
Hello to All. Good to have RT forum back.
Wondering what others thought of Sentiment here,..
I notice that as of the close the CBOE Put/Call ratios firmed
from most recent days. Today's Put/Call ratios are:
Equity 0.75,....Index 1.49,.... S&P100 (OEX) 1.42
In general these are much firmer numbers than we have seen the last few
days,..for instance at yesterday's close the same ratios were soft: 0.5,
1.08, and 1.30. So Put buying has increased with the weakness late yesterday
and so far today. I view the firmer P/C ratios as a near term "postive" from
a contrary perspective,..the more "fear" or "disbelief" the better the
chance
for a move to the upside. Basically sentiment is best viewed as a contrary
indicator. Good long weekend to all.
Regards, JIM
