John makes a good point. If we want to change the manner in which our
government handles it's affairs and the manner in which their actions ripple
down and affect the general population we can only accomplish that through
the power of the vote.
The downside is that the U.S. has not been a democracy for many years. Our
supposedly "elected" officials do not vote the mind of the people, they vote
the minds of the lobbyists and big business who are willing and able to
purchase their votes. Quite simply put, we (the general population) cannot
possibly believe that our vote actually counts on major issues (i.e.:
anything related to taxes or the IRS). The IRS is above any law that we the
people have any remote possibility of changing. Politics is a filthy,
corrupt and totally self serving occupation that has evolved far beyond the
control or accountability of the American population (voters, common folk,
etc.). If we do not like the manner in which taxes are levied in this
country then we have one alternative......Leave. We the people have
absolutely no influence or remote possibility in the alteration of the
manner in which the IRS controls or taxes our income. This s not a
pessimistic attitude it is merely clearing away the window dressing and
stating the facts as they exist today.
Wishing everyone great success in your trading ventures.
