At the risk of making a total ass of myself on this responce, let me first
say I bow to Norman's expertise in these matters and have come to respect it
more as I continue to read up on the subject. Having played with some astro
software and read a few books on basic astrology and most recently finishing
Long's "Basic Astrotech" a few neophyte statements can be made.
1. April 6th th is in no way like 8/25/87. The closest we come to that is
in July and the conjunction is in a different house. On April 6th we do
have Mars conjunct Jupiter which is a big deal. One astrotechnique is to
use a combination of traditional tech such as trendlines and then use the
planetary aspects +,- two days as leading indicators for turning points.
2. Full moons, new moons as turning points have become popular and thus
front run and thus not as effective as they used to be. However, buy the
full moon, sell the new moon is still running profitable on my system.
3. Attached is an OEXbear chart showing how in the 3rd harmonic mirror the
OEX has found resistance at the Sun/Earth line. Since it has become
practice by astrotechs to expect a trendreversal with in 2 to 3 days of an
aspect that could put the turn for the current downtrend as early as Monday
or Tuesday. Mars conjunct Jupiter should make a good trade, and I would say
to the upside before the conjunction, and 840 would make a good target in
this time period on both the OEXbear and OEXbull(not shown) charts. I've
found that when the OEX is in a bull trend that the "regular" planetary
lines and harmonics work fine. When the OEX hits resistance and
consolidation a check of the mirrors and harmonic mirrors captures the
action as in the last week.
4. The second email has the rest of the aspects for 4/6, as attachment
limitations on rt might prevent the posting of two .gifs. Conjunctions,
squares, trines and the crossing of planets from one sign to another is
where the "energy" reflected in price action occurs.
