Social engineering is fascism? I thought that was the realm of the
democratic party? I didn't know that democrats fancied themselves fascists?
You learn something new every day. Although Greenspan was appointed by the
democrats, albeit not initially, I have no strong feelings as to his
allegiances or his political agenda. I am just looking for edge in all the
wrong places. A less political and savvy animal in the post of the Fed
chairmanship would have created greater volatility and movement over the
last decade, so seeing him go wouldn't be the worst thing that ever
happened, but to bandy fascism about like the "liberal" tag of the 80's? I
have respect for Mr. Ferguson's opinion, and am often in agreement, so I
don't mean any disrespect, but I think all this Greenspan bashing is missing
the point. Besides, if their is a political wonk in any country that
doesn't have an agenda, from the most self-serving to the best intentioned,
I would be beyond surprised. I, personally, often feel that I know best,
and have been known on occasion to tell other people what is best for them.
My record, as far as I can remember, is near perfect.
