Thanks for an interesting article.  It seems Murphy relies on 8 (mentioned) 
indicators and patterns.  We should all be familiar with these concepts.  But 
I wouldn't describe such an approach as "simple."  With markets so 
near-random in their behavior, being expert at one or two good indicators 
should give you enough edge to be profitable...and he didn't even mention any 
"volume" indicators -- my favorites.
